Adams Ranch Field Trip

Thanks to the St. Lucie County Extension, some Florida Master Naturalists were treated to a tour of the Adams Ranch. The ranch covers some 50,000 acres in two counties.

Secretary of State and former U.S. senator Hillary Clinton is in Pakistan. Today she addressed a group of Pakistani students. According to press reports:

As a way of repudiating past U.S. policies toward Pakistan, Clinton told the students “there is a huge difference” between the Obama administration’s approach and that of former President George W. Bush.

“I spent my entire eight years in the Senate opposing him,” she said to a burst of applause from the audience of several hundred students. “So, to me, it’s like daylight and dark.”

Florida has a new Republican senator, George LeMieux, who replaced Mel Martinez. Sen. LeMieux just sent an email concerning his recent trip to Afghanistan, which deserves comment.

LDS Mormon Elder Dallin H. Oaks would like us to believe that gays are trying to deny his church’s civil rights, rather than the other way around. This is a classic propaganda ploy: attribute your evil schemes to your target.
